Amy (she/her) was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia before heading out to Phoenix, Arizona where she completed her dietetic internship and began her career as a Registered Dietitian.

Amy acquired significant experience in general nutrition counseling, oncology nutrition and acute & critical care before finding her professional home and personal happy place in non-diet nutrition therapy and weight inclusive care. She has worked in all levels of eating disorder treatment.

Amy now lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her fiancé Brian and their incredibly loved dog child Andy (she/her), a rescue pit mix. In her free time, she enjoys a good Netflix binge, exploring local restaurants and cycling through various craft and DIY projects.

Amy is passionate about helping others repair their relationships with food and their bodies. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating and diabetes. Amy is a non-diet, HAES-aligned, LGBTQ+ inclusive provider and BLM ally.

 

 

Gemma hobbs, rd, ld, cnsc

Gemma (she/her) originally hails from Northern Virginia, and has practiced as a Registered Dietitian for ten years.

She was introduced to the Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating movements during her internship at Oregon Health & Science University in 2012, and dove into local learning opportunities through the Center for Body Trust (formerly Be Nourished) and the Columbia River Eating Disorders Network.

Throughout her career, Gemma has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, including the Providence Eating Disorders Intensive Outpatient program and the University of Portland student health center.

She lives in Portland, Oregon with her wife Jess and their dog and cat, both of whom are very good girls. In her free time, she can be found curled up on the couch watching TV or playing video games, in the garage refinishing furniture, or at the local stadium cheering for women's soccer.

In addition to her passion for non-diet nutrition in the treatment of disordered eating and eating disorders, Gemma specializes in vegan and vegetarian nutrition. She is a queer-affirmed provider and inclusive to all individuals and their identities.
